HAPPY 2013!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In honor of the new year, I have decided to make a list of the top 13 movies I am looking forward to this year! Here they are...


13. Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters- Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters is just one of numerous supernatural action movie “re-envisionings” on the horizon, and it features rising stars Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton as the adult versions of the famous fairy tale siblings, who are now highly-skilled professional bounty hunters.

12. Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2- Cloudy 2 picks up soon after the events of the first film with the town of Swallow Falls in dire need of a clean-up crew. Live Corp must clean up the mess left by the FLDSMDFR without the knowledge the machine is still pumping out creations – like talking pickles, a strawberry named Barry, and a “giant, french-fry-legged bacon cheesespider, which lords over the abandoned town like a massive cholesterol-spiking tarantula.”

11. Now You See Me- Now You See Me revolves around the exploits of The Four Horsemen – a group of magicians renowned for their hi-tech shows and mind-boggling stunts – brought to life by Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Woody Harrelson and Dave Franco. However, these gifted con artists scale new heights when they pull off a stunt that involves exposing a white-collar criminal, ‘magically’ funneling his illicit millions of dollars from his Paris vault and showering their audience with the cash results.

10. One Direction 3D Concert Movie- Yes yes, I am a fangirl. Starrting Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik. Nuff Said

09. OZ: The Great and Powerful- Oz the Great and Powerful, from director Sam Raimi, follows the life of Oscar Diggs (James Franco), an ambitious circus magician who is swept away to the Land of Oz. Following his arrival in the faraway place, Oscar finds himself at the center of a power struggle between the Oz witches, Glinda (Michelle Williams), Theodora (Mila Kunis), and Evanora (Rachel Weisz), that could spell doom for the creatures and people of Oz. Not knowing who to trust, Oscar must find his own path in the mysterious land – a path that will prepare him for his role as the iconic Wizard of Oz.

08. Iron Man 3-Iron Man 3 pits genius-billionaire-playboy-philanthropist Tony Stark (Iron Man) against the Mandarin, an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed by his mysterious antagonist, he embarks on a dangerous quest to find those responsible. His journey will test his character at every turn. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

07. Monsters University-Monsters University, Pixar Animation Studios’ long-awaited prequel to 2001′s Monsters, Inc., takes viewers back in time before James P. “Sulley” Sullivan (John Goodman) and Michael “Mike” Wazowski (Billy Crystal) formed the most successful “scarer” team in Monsters, Inc. history. The film chronicles the pair’s Monsters University origins, where 18-year old Sulley and Mike first meet and become competitive rivals. However, as the two monsters go one eyed head-to-furry head, a larger dilemma forces them together – forging a lifelong friendship and setting the stage for their future adventures.

06. Thor: The Dark Worlds- Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

05. Star Trek: Into Darkness-
Star Trek Into Darkness is being billed as an “action thriller” in which the crew of the Enterprise finds an unstoppable force of terror inside Starfleet that has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving Earth in a state of crisis.
Captain Kirk has a personal score to settle, and leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. The crew is propelled into an epic chess game of life and death – love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices will have to be made for the only family James Kirk has left: his crew.

04. Man of Steel- In this new take on Superman’s origin story, young journalist Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) – who came to Earth as a child from Krypton – has trouble fitting in with his secret superpowers. Questioning his purpose in life, Kent is forced into action when it comes time to protect those in need, becoming the hero we all know as Superman, built by the values set upon him by parents Martha and Jonathan Kent who adopted him as an otherworldly orphan.

03. Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters- Percy must save “Camp Half-Blood” the safe haven where demigods are protected from evil by magic barriers. Someone has poisoned the barriers, so it’s up to Percy and Co. to venture into “The Sea of Monsters” to find the mythical Golden Fleece to save the camp.

02. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire-
After several months, another political event looms and Katniss has to pose for wedding pictures. She's been gathering clues that many districts are rebelling and shares it with Haymitch. Before they can do much about it, though, they receive strange news. The next Hunger Games are announced, a special version called the Quarter Quell. The Quells celebrate anniversaries and are extra gnarly versions of regular Games. In this one, the 75th Games, former winners will have to re-enter the arena. This means Katniss has to go back and risk almost certain death for the second time.
Katniss does what any normal person would do: she goes into hysterics. She and Peeta both go to see Haymitch and they all commiserate. Two out of the three of them are going back to the arena. Katniss makes Haymitch promise he'll help her save Peeta's life this time around.

AND THE MOVIE I AM MOST ANTICIPATING IN THE NEW YEAR IS.................................

              The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

Les Miserables

                                                        ~Fight~Dream~Hope~Love~   

     If you love musicals like I do, chances are you are going to LOVE Les Miserables. Hugh Jackman, best known for his role in the X-MEN series, brought the character Jean Valjean to life in this production. Jackman's character Jean Valjean becomes free from slavery in the early moment of the movie. The officer granting Valjean his freedom is portrayed by the New Zealand native, Russell Crowe. The officer named Javert, assigns Jean Valjean, aka 24601, to parole. After Monsieur Valjean breaks his parole he, with help from God, finds a new way of living. Many years later, Javert finds Jean Valjean and is set to sentance him for breaking his parole. Jean comes across one of his former factory workers and takes her to get help. As Fantine (Anne Hathaway) is dying, Valjean agrees to take care of Cosette, Fantine's daugher. As soon as he takes the child under his protection, he begins running from Javert, dreading the thought of becoming a slave once more. When Cosette (Amanda Seyfried) is grown, she falls in love with Marius (Eddie Redmayne) who is a leader in the French Revolution. I give the musical Les Miserables a POP!!!!! It was a story of redemption and mercy, and they did beautifuly with the production. You should really check Les Mis out! :)

Merry Christmas! !!

Today all around the world people exchanged gifts, visited with friends and family, and ate until they couldn't move! If I had to pick one of my favorite things that I do with my family before Christmas, I would say watching Christmas movies. Surprise Surprise huh?? We will have chili or hamburgers for dinner, with coco for dessert. We'll all eat in the living room and watch some cheesy Hallmark movie with so many things that are unrealistic.  Then we'll do our advent devotional to remind us who CHRISTmas is really about. I just wanted to wish all of my beautiful readers a very merry Christmas!  Thanks for reading my blogs:-)

The Hobbit-An Unexpected Journey

The Hobbit- An Unexpected Journey.  I have been waiting for two years to see this movie. Friday at midnight, I finally got to see it! It has been nine years since director Peter Jackson took fans all over the world back to Middle Earth. The story starts when the old Bilbo Baggins (Ian Holm) is writing all about his adventures, for his nephew Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood). Older Bilbo Baggins starts his story 60 years earlier, when he is approached by Gandalf the Grey (Sir Ian McKellen).  Gandalf had choosen Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) to accompany himself, Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) and 12 other dwarves on a quest to take back the Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.  I give this movie a definate POP.  I give this a POP because the entire production was amazing! Everything from the music to the dwarves beards was amazing!   The soundtrack for the movie was directed by Howard Shore, the same man who directed the music for the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, which made it special. The location of the movie was perfect. The places used for this production didn't even look real. It really did look like the magical world of Middle Earth. The cast was perfect. The costumes were amazing. Peter Jackson, once again made Middle Earth real for three and a half hours, and I am really anxious to see the rest of the films.

Something's Coming... :)

Hey guys!!! It is only 16 days 393 hours and 23609 minutes until the U.S. premier of The Hobbit! I for one am very excited! In case you don't know what the Hobbit is about, I decided to let you guys in! :)

    Bilbo Baggins(Martin Freeman) is a hobbit. Hobbits have no reason to leave their comfortable lazy lives. Bilbo is asked to accompany thirteen dwarves on a quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from the fearsome dragon Smaug. On request of Gandalf the Grey(Sir Ian McKellen), Bilbo finds himself joining the dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield(Richard Armitage). Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers. On their journey, Bilbo runs into a quite unusual creature named Gollum. Here, Bilbo Baggins not only discovers depths of guile and courage that surprise even him, he also gains possession of Gollum's "precious" ring that holds unexpected and useful qualities.

Breaking Dawn Part 2

 Words cannot describe the awesomeness of this movie!!!! It's AMAZING!!!!! Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Laughtner, Peter Facinelli, and many other fantastic actors are back for the saga's last film. I can't write too much without giving away the story. All I can say is this movie was EPIC and a must-see! I give it a POP!

Wreck It Ralph

 Today I saw Disney's Wreck-It Ralph with voice overs by John C. Reilley, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer and many more fantastic actors. I really enjoyed this movie! This movie was all about Wreck-It Ralph and his journey to find himself. Ralph (John C. Reilley) was the bad guy in the video game Fix-It Felix JR. and didn't like it. He wanted to be someone that people appreciated and respected. In order to become who he thought he wanted to be, Ralph goes game-hopping, attempting to become a hero. He met many new people on his journey including Vanellope (Sarah Silverman), Sargent Calhoun (Jane Lynch), and King Candy (Alan Tudyk). I am going to rate this movie a POP!  I thought it was a really cute movie! In the movie they talked about staying true to yourself and knowing who your true friends are.
