Jack the Giant Slayer

In the movie Jack the Giant Slayer the audience gets to totally re-experience the classic tale of Jack and the Beanstalk. The movie started out slow, but necesaary, with both young Jack and young Princess Isabel being read the story of the giants and the beanstalk. Once the children have grown, they each loose a parent. Jack's father died, leaving him to live with his uncle. As fate would have it, Jack is given magical beans, which grown to of course a magical beanstalk. When the princess is taken into the clouds, a search team, including Jack is put together to retrieve the princess. This is where their story really begins.

This movie had a great team working on it. Some of the actors included Nicholas Holt (X-Men), Ewan McGregor(Star Wars 1-3, The Ghost Writer), and Stanley Tucci(Captian America, The Devil Wears Prada). They also had Bryan Singer (X-Men, Superman Returns) as director for this film. I am going to give this movie a POP.

I overall I was pleasantly surprised with this film. I loved the way that the writers took the story in a different direction. They made the story very unique and even though you know the story of Jack and the beanstalk, there were a few parts you weren't quite sure what wasgoing to happen next. Although the CGI on the giants wasn't as great as I had expected it to be, it was something I, personally, could easily overlook. There was some very cool themes in the movie such as bravery, sticking up for those you care about, and love.

It was a very fun film and I really enjoyed it!

Love you all!   PEACE OUT GIRLSCOUTS!!!!!!
