I don't think that it is any secret that I am a huge directioner. And I may or may not have let our a few fangirl shrieks during the screening of this film. It was so neat to see the journey of the One Direction boy's from the beginning. So I think that it is assumed that I will give this film a POP. Well, if that is what you assumed, you did so correctly. But let me tell you why.
In This Is Us we get to go on the road with the boys of One Direction. We are shown the best and worst parts of being on tour, from the boy's perspectives. We are shown the hard parts of missing home and family, and some of the pressures they feel. But we also get to see how much they enjoy touring the world with their best mates, doing what they've always dreamed of doing. One thing I loved getting to see the pictures and home videos from when the boys were just children, and getting to hear stories of how they grew their passions for singing. (That sounds so cheesy)
In One Direction: This Is Us we get to go back to 2010 UK XFactor, where each of the boys auditioned for Simon Cowell and a panel of judges in hope to make a career from the show. Once rejected as solo acts, Cowell brought Louis, Liam, Harry, Niall and Zayn back, and put together as a group. Even though they didn't win the XFactor, they won the world over in just a few months.
Okay so now that you've heard my cheesy 'I love One Direction' blog. :) In all seriousness though, the film was great and put together very well. However if you're looking for a Friday night flick I don't know if this is the movie to pick. But if you're looking for a good redbox this would be the perfect film.
